Can I connect a male USB to male Cat5 ethernet adapter cable to my Wii for network ability?

It’s a cable I had laying around, I think originally intended for use with a USB modem. I already bought the Wii LAN adapter which is a male USB to female Cat5 receiver. The receiver is a small box that seems to have some "guts" to it, so I’m worried about trying my other cable and potentially damaging the Wii. All of my USB ports work perfectly up until I restart my machine, when my computer turns back on, it can’t load most of the USB drivers. I have to plug my mouse into a different port, then uninstall all the ones with a yellow flag in the device manager, then restart and it loads them all again. Without knowing about FAT and FAT 32 thingys, I formatted my USB to FAT. I then saved images and mp3 files to my usb from a supposedly FAT32 compatible pc. Once ran the usb again in the said pc, the images appeared as a small box with x and the mp3s can’t be played. How can i restore my files? Thanks for the help.  Read More →
