    @Firefox7755 Oh yeah it’s fine ha ha. I actually have had the rig running fine at stock currently with a gtx 460 because my board can take sli and crossfire and I got the card for a great price. I’m going to start overclocking whenever my cooler master hyper 212+ comes in the mail, I’m hoping I can hit 4 Ghz because I’ve seen some people with the exact same cooler and cpu being able to hit that much.

    @TazRocksDaParty uhh I wouldnt OC it if I were you unless you really need it.

    @DjAlyX1 yep
    thats right

  5. DjAlyX1 says:

    @johannes19969 Yeah you can get to 3.8 stable on stock voltage on my board :) Also to get mine to 4.2 GHz I have to up my voltage to 1.64… its a good thing to know the ceiling for the 955 is 1.9V believe it or not :) And you could not get the 955 to 4.2 GHz on air cooling. 3.8 GHz would still be warm :L

    ur all crazy but i can say to i use my asus over clocking software before and jsut at 3.42ghz the software kicks the v core up to 1.55v i knwo crazy but i have seen it with my own 2 eyes i know not suppos tto be that hight but it is and the software is auto programed from who ever so im guessing its fine i just dont feel safe tow with it

    @1200rist ohh… ok, thank you :)

  9. 1200rist says:

    @BigSnooop The black edition will let you change the CPU clock ratio.

  10. BigSnooop says:

    which is the diference between x4 955 and x4 955 black edition?

  11. johannes19969 says:

    you need the default voltage for 3.9ghz omg 1,550 is much to high

  12. TheFearNL says:

    @idan124 after thinking about it and trying with my own 955 ( which runs 3.75 ghz @ 1.4125 volts ) i think 1.4125 volts would be enough for 3.8 ;)

  13. drago433 says:

    you spelled “CROSAIR” wrong in the description

    @Firefox7755 I actually ended up getting a whole different build..with an i5 2500k and a sabertooth p67.. I ended up getting a 750w for my cf config, sorry when I originally posted that I had no idea how big I should get my power supply..I also got a corsair, cause rosewill I heard sucks lmao.

  16. idan124 says:

    @?? TheFearNL U THINK 1.4 FOR 3.8 WELL GET STABLE

  17. TheFearNL says:

    @idan124
    your right you can easily achieve 3.8 ghz with only 1.4 volts which is a safe voltage for this chip

    Hey I have Amd phenom x4 830 (from a stock HP and motherboard) and I need help with overclocking it, but I heard its locked? can anyone help me?

  19. Firefox7755 says:

    @jstark069 the board you’re using supports dual channel RAM.
    Wouldnt it be wiser to have 4Gb’s or 8Gb’s since having 2 DDR3 Modules in one sections and 1 DDR3 module in the other section sounds a bit “unbalanced” if you know what I mean.

  20. Firefox7755 says:

    @Godscarmachine no problem

  21. Godscarmachine says:

    @Firefox7755
    If it’s that risky, I think I might wait till next year when I upgrade my cooling system, RAM ,and Power Supply.
    Though by next year, the type of programs and games I run will need it, but when I first get it, it won’t be a problem not overclocking it.
    Thanks for replying.

  22. Firefox7755 says:

    @MinttyDizzy A AMD quad core is better than a Intel Duo Core, son.

  23. Firefox7755 says:

    @BloodyRory why do u have such a big PSU? lol

  24. Firefox7755 says:

    @Godscarmachine u can overclock it if u like, but just check to see if u have enough power and before u do so u should think about it. I mean like, do u actually need it, or are u the type of person that plays simple games like Call of Duty and browses the net and watch Youtube?

  25. northpaw2000 says:

    @BloodyRory I’ve heard good things about the corsair h50 and h70, hope this
    helps!
