How do I clear the bios overclocking settings on my asus p5n32-sli deluxe motherboard so it will boot again?

My computer won’t start since it is overclocked too much. I know there is a way to clear out the settings but I can’t remember how.

Check the manual. There is usually a jumper that you can change. The location is different on every board. If you don’t have the manual try and find it online. As far as I know ASUS have all the manuals on their website (but I could be wrong).

open the case up and take the cmos battery out for a minute…it looks like a watch battery down near the sata ports…that will set your bios back to default settings….put it back in and fire it back up….

If you didn’t burn it up, try shutdown. Remove the BATTERY, check you manual for tips on ‘clearing CMOS. There is a jumper that connects 2 pins. It is located on a 3 pin post.. Remove the jumper from the first to pins and use it to jump the next two pins. Should be written as pin 1 & 2 jumped. Then move to pin 2& 3 jumped. Leave (with computer unplugged) for 5 minutes. Put battery back in and move jumper back to connect pin 1&2. Plug in and start-up.
