@sjbran64 I’m happy there was no problem, mostly graphics chip takes system memory and not the sound card
@basbas63 Thanks for your response…Actually got up the nerve and did it. it was totally no problem. I was nervous at first thinking the slots might be buried under a tangle of wires but thankfully it was easily accessible. Funny thing when I checked to see if my system recognized it it said it went frm 504mb to show only
.99GB RAM. I have been told that sound cards can take up some RAM so it wont show the total. All things tolled, the install went smoothly and my system is faster
@sjbran64 Installing memory seems a little scary at first, but if you have done it you realise it is not that hard.
Look at youtube for guides if you want but make sure you don’t watch expretvillage vids because they aren’t correct about a lot of things with computers.
Awesome fully self explanatory Video. I think I definately need more memory. I only
have a 512MB SD DDR RAM (Don’t laugh). I wanna figure out how to install it myself
as I don’t want to have to schlep it some some place to have it done and be stuck with the added expense. Thanks to your very expertly produced video you make it seem so much more approachable. Take Care………..Steve B
