@dannya51 I have Android running on my HD2 and ubuntu is just as easy… you need to check out forum xda-developers com for lots of ROMs you can install on your storage card, then you can run an app to stick on a dual booter so when you switch on phone it says UBUNTU or WINDOWS etc… its quite easy but you must read instructions carefully 5 times!!!
@Woudhan its an old one, not my main one :p
clean up ur keyboard…. UARG!…
Can someone plzz tell me how to Run Android 2.2 without first starting Windows Mobile & then Android… I just want to be like : starting the phone.. & when the phone starts, to boot immediately Android and not Windows Mobile .. is this possible ?? .
PS: I have an HTC HD2 ..
soon we will have someone playing crysis on hd2!! lol.
just double checking.. you have a micro usb cord w/ a female usb end; then made a “y” with two female heads which were used up by the mouse and keyboard; and along with the two females, there are two male ends: one into the phone and one into the power strip?

@arni0202 check out htc-linux wiki, there is a tutorial in english on how to build the cable etc.
could you post a little video or list of steps on how you modified the keyboard/mouse with tape and everything? This is so cool I KNOW my friends would die if I busted out my phone and said hey it can boot ubuntu!!!
@dotslashshawn
thank you,
But I have already updated my radio, now all is ok.
There is only one thing which i found as problematic.
There are few build which work really fast but they dont have muti-touch support,
or they have, but not for a long time. Then to get multi-touch back i have to restart display’s power.
There are also builds which have multi-touch but unfortunately they work slower than the others.
So my question is:
Is there a way to install multi-touch driver by myself?
@lightrevan19980
I’m using 2.12.50.02_2 and running Darkstone Series Froyo 2.2 Build with no problems Other than low in call volume. Ran Louder Volume Hack and now thats all fine.
MrPrimenotes,
i was thinking about runing linux kernel and android on hd2 long time.
i followed the project from his start at XDA-devs.
to install android on tytn 2 was easy but when we are speaking about HD2 there is one problem called radio.
i thought it will be easy until they said i have to update my radio version.
now my question: which radio version do you have? and do i really must update my radio version? updating radio is not difficult procedure, but i am a little woried about it.
fake? lol its not a fake.. do some research and youll find out how to do it
@euchrejohn0321
with no feeds from the uplaoder makes me feel its FAKE ! – but its still possible lack of support actually
hey, hast du vllt ne anleitung dazu?
what’s the name of this song?
How did you get this working? I currently have my stock data cable connected to a usb gender changer that is connected to a powered usb hub. I plug all this in, but when I boot ubuntu it does not recognize the mouse and keyboard. I thought the usb host was built into the kernal, do I need to istall something on my phone to get this to work?
