    @Hrel88 I wasn’t talking about 775 to 1155 I was talking about 1156 to 1155. Greedy basterds.

  2. borat4421 says:

    @Hrel88 no. the new boards support more ram turbo boost technology etc. the 775 was great for its time but if it wasn’t for new motherboards, we wouldn’t have new technology for the processor

  3. Hrel88 says:

    @borat4421 It’s cause Intel likes to screw it’s customers and be greedy.

  4. borat4421 says:

    @Hrel88 its coz the new processors have new features which the old boards don’t support

    Wow, even though the field engineer was going into the interview cold (w/o a heads-up on Anand’s questions), you’d figure he’d be better prepared for questions that are obvious to anybody who has read anandtech’s previews and discussions of Sandy Bridge; provide more than bland marketing speak to an audience clearly more knowledgeable + technically literate than his answers presuppose; and, address = head-on = the very questions every tech site wants to know.
    Note to Intel PR: know thy audience.

  6. KissMyAsthma91 says:

    @bricelikesrice21 He had to correct the Intel guy when he was giving an incorrect answer on encode/decode at the same time.. lol

  7. Hrel88 says:

    Why can’t they just make an adapter that plugs into the GPU and the video port on the mobo? What’s with the “we’ll blog that” this video is supposed to answer the questions not delay them. Haha, I can’t believe Anand had to explain that to him. Intels marketing guys need more knowledge. Intel, stop changing socket!!!! LGA 775 was great.

  8. clumsyculhane says:

    Love how Anand knows more than the intel guy :D

  9. burninator881 says:

    @oisiaa Kind of jerkish? LOL, this guy should know a LOT more than he apparently does. He may be an EE but he sounds like a marketing drone. “Uh, I dunno, I’ll have to look into that.”

    My good ol’ QX6850 will do me fine.

    I got so excited when you said my username and question! But come on, your Indian, you should know its pronounced “Tea – Pooh”, lol. Awesome interview though!

  13. Xigmatek says:

    Can’t play with integrated Graphics?

    Like Crysis? LOL, ok ok I had to.

    Very Impressive the Quad coore 2600k is, Beats the 980X 6 core in half the benchmarks.

  14. oisiaa says:

    It was kind of jerkish to tell the guy how his own processor works. I guess Anand is a pretty smart guy though.

  15. oisiaa says:

    @bricelikesrice21 It isn’t that bad.

  16. bricelikesrice21 says:

    Anand needs to stop cutting people off mid-sentence.
