OK, so here it is, its the only working memory solution for iOS 4. so u can have over 80MB free RAM i have tried iMemory Enhancer, iPhoneVM and some other plists in LaunchDaemons but nothing works. it only freeze your idevice but here it is 2 plist files and u get ower 80MB free Ram i have it on my iPod 2G it is perfectly safe to do it, u can read about it here: www.ipodtouchfans.com but i have done the plists so its redy to ssh them it to your iPhone, iPod or iPad. and it works om iOS 4, but u need to be JailBroken download these 2 files and ssh them in to your device. ______________________________________________ first file: www.mediafire.com com.apple.dynamic_pager.plist put it in: /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ ______________________________________________ second file: www.mediafire.com com.apple.virtualMemory.plist put it in: /private/var/preferences/ ______________________________________________ then just restart your idevice and u can do the same as in the video, (free up memory in the SBsettings) and remember the video is only bekose it does the same thing and i dont have any cam right now so i stole this video, AND DONT FOLLOW THE VIDEO!!! bekose if u do then your iDevice is briked if u run iOS4 u have to do this in the description u can follow me on Teitter: twitter.com and if my eng is bad in some points its bekose im from Sweden.

Very nice plists… considering all the junk I have on my iTouch 2G, even though I’m not hitting 80MB, I have noticed a 30MB increase and smoother performance.
Just a heads up, this IS a little buggy, but nobody panic, it won’t kill your iDevice… I’ve noticed that on occasion the “Free Up Memory” button crashes Springboard, but its really not a huge deal, it only happens sometimes…

@godwithus333 You see, the thing is, the older devices don’t have great proccesors. This, combined with the 256mb of ram and the bloatware of iOS 4.x, makes an iPhone 3g for example, run very slow. This could prove to be quite useful.

I did this before in 4.0 and it worked. I updated to 4.1 and it stopped working. Now in 4.2.1 it works for me again? WTF I have a 2G MC 8gb and thanks for the plists

@Tinrolehax but what did u då? the thing in the video? u are supose to read what to do, not follow the video, the video is only there to show what it does to the ipod/iphone in the end, and if u do it right then it will work, but u dont anyway need it on an ipod 4 bekose u have enough memory

READ! I Tested this on my ipod touch 4G 4.2.1 and it does not work. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS ON IPHONE/IPOD 4G It makes it so you have to reboot your iphne or ipod everytime you run an app. this did not help with the speed.

Works ! great ! amazing ! now i have 60Mb of memory ! yesteday my 3g was poor with 8mb with lot of tweaks … now i’m going to activate multitasking ! and lot of tweaks !
Worked amazingly! I did this on my iPhone 3G 4.2.1 and it gave me 83 free MB of memory!
Doesn’t work well on the iPod Touch 4g. It’s conflicting with Apple’s native multi tasking.
Makes your device slower at the moment…needs improvement.
this does add memory to your phone but for some reason i feel like it is slower
